Update: Paramedic Progression to Band 6

Apologies again for the lack of update regarding this ongoing work. Please find below the current position in terms of actions:

Pre-existing qualified EMTs who have submitted evidence

• We have now held two panels to review submitted evidence and those that have made submissions have received communication regarding the outcome.

• A third and final panel date has now been arranged. The deadline for submitting evidence for the final panel will be Friday 17 February 2023.  Any new submissions received after this date will not be considered and as outlined in previous communication, in line with the Collective Grievance Policy section 2.3, no further grievances relating to this issue will be accepted.

 

For staff who commenced on a Student Paramedic contract

• The in depth review of each individual member of staff affected is still ongoing and unfortunately is taking more time than anticipated. To support we are planning protected and dedicated time to complete the work needed. We aim to have completed, with all staff paid any monies owed on or before May pay.

 

If for any reason any of the information or dates given above change, we will communicate this via Need to Know at the earliest opportunity. We appreciate your ongoing patience during this time.
