I am delighted to announce the appointment of Libby Holdcroft as our new Deputy Director for Strategy.

Libby joins EEAST from the regional team at NHS England where she has been on secondment, leading transformation programmes (including on major trauma) as well as the delegation of functions to Integrated Care Boards in the East of England.

Her substantive role, as Deputy Director in the Cabinet Office, involved defining and delivering the cross-governmental strategic and tactical response to mitigate disruption caused by Brexit. Prior to working in central government, Libby worked in several strategy leadership roles across the public sector, including at Crossrail, Transport for London and the Care Quality Commission.

Speaking about taking on the new role, Libby said: I am really excited to join the team at EEAST. I've been very impressed with the passion and energy of those I've met already and can't wait to contribute to this critical public service. I believe that working together on defining our common purpose and jointly building the strategic plans we need to work to that common purpose are crucial blocks to improving our organisation together. I look forward to playing my part in that.

Libby will be joining EEAST on 1 April 2023, but we will work on an appropriate induction plan, to meet the Executives, Deputy Directors, and Heads of Service during the next couple of weeks.

Together, we will support EEAST in becoming a great place to work, learn and volunteer.
