Are you eligible for a long service award?

The planning for this year’s Stars of EEAST Awards is underway! The Stars of EEAST Awards is our annual awards evening to celebrate and recognise the long service and special contribution of our staff and volunteers.

The people services team are busy collating the lists of long service employees. However, if you think that you are eligible for a long service award at this year’s ceremony – please email us at awards@eastamb.nhs.uk. Please get in touch by 12^th April to make sure you’re included for this year.

The categories are:

• Queens medal for long service and good conduct: This award is for 20 years of continuous emergency ambulance service in A&E. You will need to have completed 20 years continuous service in the emergency ambulance service in A&E between 1^st January 2022 to 31^st December 2022. Criteria for this award also requires confirmation of exemplary conduct.
• 20 years Ambulance service: This award is for EOC and all non-A&E staff who have worked for the Ambulance Service for 20 continuous years. You will need to have completed 20 years’ service between 1^st January 2022 to 31^st December 2022. 
• 25 years NHS service: This award is given to staff that have worked continuously in the NHS for 25 years and includes all previous NHS service, whatever that may be. You will need to have completed 25 years’ service between 1^st January 2022 to 31^st December 2022. 
• 35 years NHS service: This award is given to staff that have completed 35 years continuous service in the NHS and again includes all NHS service. You will need to have completed 35 years’ service between 1^st January 2022 to 31^st December 2022. 
• 10 years volunteer service: Given to our volunteer car drivers and community first responders when they complete 10 years’ service. You will need to have completed 10 years voluntary service between 1^st January 2022 to 31^st December 2022.

 

The ceremony will be taking place in July. Further details will be available soon. We will be releasing information on Need to Know very soon on how to nominate your colleagues for the special contribution awards.
