October is Black History Month and a tri-service event, run by the Asian Fire Service Association will again be celebrating the culture and histories of our Black communities with a one-day event held on the 13th of October from 10am - 3:30pm.

Sponsored by EEAST together with Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service and Bedfordshire Police, Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service will again be celebrating the culture and histories of our Black communities with a one-day event.

This year the event will be held on the 13th of October 2023 and will be based around the UK Black History Month theme: Celebrating our Sisters / Saluting our Sisters / Matriarchs of Movements, highlighting the crucial role that black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities.

You are all invited to join us on the day. We have a variety of speakers who will be sharing their stories, one among them is Caroline Nwadu, our Head of Culture and Inclusivity.

Event held at Pavenham Park Golf Club, High Street, Pavenham, Bedford, MK43 7PE

The event is free. If you would like to attend, please email edi@eastamb.nhs.uk.
