Basic life support education programme launched

Transparent EEAST crest

EEAST is launching its community basic life support education programme.  Called EEAST Heart, it aims to empower EEAST Staff and volunteers to teach basic life support skills in the community.

Survival to hospital discharge from out of hospital cardiac arrest in the UK is still below 10% but studies have shown survival is much less without bystander CPR. Our aim is to offer free Basic Life Support training within local communities within the East of England.

Want to get involved?

We are currently looking for volunteer trainers, supporters and county leads to run this exciting initiative.  Please email us at CFR@eastamb.nhs.uk if you are interested in being involved.
