EEAST is pleased announce that with help from the EDI team, and The BME staff network, the Black and Brown Skin website is now available to access on EEAST issued devices!

This website was previously blocked on EEAST computers and iPads, as it was categorised as a "Business" site. However, this issue has now been rectified.

This is an online clinical handbook focusing on how to identify clinical signs on black and brown skin. It could help us as clinicians provide better assessment and care for our patients who are from a BME background.

Malone Mukwende, founder of the website, is on a mission to make healthcare more diverse and inclusive. There is an option on this website to submit your own image of clinical signs on black and brown skin (consent forms are provided), which means that we can contribute to the positive change.

If you still have issues accessing the site, please use the “Submit request” button to report the block and include contact information and the reason why you think the site should be unblocked.
