During this Black History Month celebrating and ‘Saluting our Sisters’, we asked members of #TeamEEAST to share their message. Today we have Caroline Nwadu, Head of Culture and Inclusivity, sharing her commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

Hello, my name is Caroline Nwadu. I have been a HR professional for the last 25 years. As a HR consultant, I have worked in most sectors within the NHS.

My journey in the NHS started at Two Shires Ambulance service and then I went on to work with the former PCTs, Acute Trusts, Community Health Trusts, Mental Health Trusts, our Commissioners and I have now come full circle, back to the ambulance service.

I have the honour of being the first Head of Culture and Inclusivity for EEAST. I decided to move into the EDI world, because, as a black woman, I have an immense passion for promoting inclusivity. As the Head of Culture and Inclusivity, I have the privilege of being able to make a positive impact within EEAST, by fostering a sense of belonging for all staff. My values and beliefs align with the goals and responsibilities of this role.

I have the opportunity to drive positive change and influence EEAST’s culture. I am committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

“Let our differences be our strength.”

It is not too late to get involved, if you have a story or message that you would like to share, we’d love to hear from you! Please email InternalCommunications@eastamb.nhs.uk.
