CLINICAL UPDATE - Amiodarone

We are having issues nationally obtaining Amiodarone PFS. This is expected to continue until the end of the year.

An alternative has been obtained in the form of Amiodarone Ampoules 150mg in 3ml.

Amiodarone 150mg/3ml ampoule (IV/IO) can be administered undiluted during cardiac arrest. As per JRCALC guidelines.

Within each pouch 3 x Amiodarone ampoules will be present.

For all dosage information please follow the JRCALC app.

Please report any incidents relating to this alert internally via datix.

This is urgent and needs to be displayed in all clinical areas and all clinical grade staff need to be aware.

Further updates will come from Meds Man as and when the PFS becomes available again.
