Clinical Update: Nurofen Sachets

We are having issues nationally obtaining Ibuprofen sachets (Nurofen). We are in discussions with NHS England over alternative products that may be available.

This is an ongoing issue, with no expected date of its return.

While we continue to work towards a solution the Trust has made a decision to reduce the quantity of Ibuprofen sachets in the H pouch from FOUR to TWO.

Please follow guidance on dosage for Ibuprofen sachets as per JRCALC.

Please can we encourage self-care by use of patient own medication where available prior to encourage self-care using Trust sachets.
