College of Paramedics e-learning CPD project

Blurred ambulance

The e-Learning Continuous Professional Development (CPD) project is a suite of modules on Health Education England’s e-Learning for Healthcare platform, which paramedics can now access for free.

These online modules have been developed specifically for the modern paramedic with the aim of providing ‘bite-sized’, interactive learning experiences that take about 15 minutes to complete and function well on a variety of mobile devices.

The first five modules launched are:

  • Clinical decision making for paramedics
  • Law and ethics for paramedics
  • Pain management for paramedics
  • Mental health for paramedics
  • End of life care for paramedics

Each module consists of up to ten individual sessions that should each take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

Following the successful launch of ‘Phase 1’ of the e-Learning CPD Project at the College of Paramedics’ National Conference last week, the College needs to ascertain how many members require log-in access. Please can you take the time to fill out this very short survey;

The college of Paramedics are looking for people with a specialist interest and experience in the following areas to get involved as module authors or editors;

  • Minor injuries
  • Minor illness
  • Paediatrics
  • Obstetrics
  • Long-term conditions
