Core Network Stack Replacement

Over the last 2 months a significant piece of work has been taking place by our Infrastructure Network Specialist Steve Holmes with assistance by other members of the Infrastructure team to replace the heart of the Trusts data network, referred to as our core stacks.

This was a £200,000 investment in our data network technology across our 3 main EOC sites, improving network speeds and performance of our critical applications. Every server, wireless access point, desktop PC and laptop is connected through these devices and the implementation was performed through the night on 7 nights across 3 weeks with no impact to operations.

This represents an excellent achievement by our skilled Digital technicians and the culmination of several months of meticulous planning and work.
