Development of new education module on young people’s mental health

we can talk logo

We Can Talk is developing new education modules for ambulance staff.

Their aim is to improve staff knowledge and confidence in caring for young people with mental health difficulties. The project is a collaboration between Healthy Teen Minds, NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board and the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

They are asking ambulance to get involved in two ways:

  1. Complete the ambulance staff survey. Ambulance staff are invited to complete a short survey (5 minutes) to inform the process. This will help us better understand the challenges they face when providing care to a young person with mental health difficulties.

  1. Sign up for one of the ambulance staff consultation workshops. We Can Talk young advisors (young people with lived experience of attending hospital due to their mental health) would also like to invite you to attend an online group consultation workshop.

When: Wednesday 7th December 2022

Where: Online (via Microsoft Teams)

Length: Each workshop will last 30 mins to 1 hour
