Mark Whitbread ECG bootcamps

The Learning & Development Team is pleased to announce that the Health Education England (HEE) CPD programme will be funding over 500 places on ECG Bootcamps with Mark Whitbread taking place in an area near you in the New Year.

Mark has over 30 years of experience in acute patient care both in a hospital setting and in the pre-hospital environment. He is currently a Consultant Paramedic and undertakes regular clinical shifts. He holds an MSc in Cardiology.

Mark's main area of expertise is that of pre-hospital acute cardiac care and he has been instrumental in developing several cardiac care strategies which have been acknowledged as an example of excellence both nationally and internationally. He is regarded as an excellent lecturer and practitioner in his field and has presented at numerous national and international meetings.

The ECG Bootcamp is a highly interactive half day session covering all the vital ECGs that registered clinical ambulance staff need to know:

  • Real patient ECGs will be used throughout the session.
  • The day will involve dissecting several vital ECGs and how best to manage the patient in a prehospital setting.
  • The teaching will be done in a highly interactive and enjoyable way to ensure that optimum learning takes place.
  • The session will incorporate time for your questions and to discuss cases.

The sessions are for registrant attendees only due to the criteria of the funding received.

These are half-days sessions with the option of attending a morning or afternoon session hosted locally where possible.

The distribution of these sessions has been planned with the headcount of the differing sectors. All registrants from across the trust are welcome to attend these sessions.
