Fit for the Future Fortnight finishes

Today sees the finish of our Fit for the Future Fortnight. I hope you have had the chance to find out more about our Fit for the Future programme which brings together all the work that we are doing to improve EEAST for our people and communities as well as addressing the long-standing issues identified by our regulators.

I know that it can be hard to focus on these overarching improvement programmes when we are managing high levels of demand for our services and that these big projects take time to deliver.

However, all of the Fit for the Future workstreams contribute to making life better for our patients and people – whether by tackling hospital handovers, making sure people are paid on time or increasing our health and wellbeing support.

We need you to continue to help us to deliver these and to share your ideas on what more we can do – as it only through working together that we can make the lasting improvements to EEAST that we all want to see.

My executive colleagues and I really enjoyed last week’s Q&A session and the opportunity to answer your questions. It was great to hear that you find these sessions useful and that you are supportive of many of the key priorities within Fit for the Future workstreams including the clinical strategy, retaining our people and the training strategy.

You can access all the podcasts, videos and progress updates on the Fit for the Future section of East 24.

If you have any questions on Fit for the Future you can contact the executive responsible for each workstream, these are:
