Help support our campaigns this October

We want you

This October, we need your help supporting a number of awareness campaigns.

Each month, the communications team – often in collaboration with departments and staff networks across the Trust - highlights a number of awareness campaigns that resonate with our ambulance service and the wider healthcare system, and we’re asking our staff and volunteers to help support where possible.

Some dates to note this month include:

  • Black History Month
  • 10th: World Mental Health Day
  • 16th: Restart a Heart Day – an annual event that helps raise awareness and teach people how to perform the life saving skill of CPR
  • 18th: World Menopause Day – a day to raise awareness on menopause and support options for improving health and wellbeing. This is supported by our All Women in EEAST (AWE) network.
  • 24th: Diwali - this is the five day Festival of Lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world.
  • 24th-30th: International Control Room Week – are you celebrating in your control room? We’d love to hear how! Send us some photos during the week of your celebrations.
  • 31st: Halloween – want to help share a message with the public on how to stay safe this Halloween? Record a message and send to the team to be shared on social media.

We will mainly be supporting these via social media and NeedtoKnow, so please keep an eye out on Facebook and Twitter and help share our posts.

Last month, we shared the story of Apprentice Paramedic, Edward Dodd for National Organ Donation Week on the Trust website and social media.

We would love to hear from you on how we could acknowledge and support these campaigns. If you have a story or idea you’d like to share, or you’d like to be involved in any of these campaigns, email communications@eastamb.nhs.uk
