Today is the start of International Stress Awareness Week. We all know the importance of managing our stress levels, but it’s sometimes easier said than done.

With that in mind, we will be highlighting a range of support options during the week to help if you feel things are getting too much, or you just need a bit of help in dealing with stress in any area of your life, whether that’s at work or at home. These can become healthy habits that improve our wellbeing not only now but into the future too

Get some Headspace

In the first of our Stress Awareness Week articles we are highlighting the newly launched EEAST Headspace app. If you haven't already accessed it, then it’s a great place to start. The mindfulness and meditation app is available for staff across EEAST to download free of charge and provides unique tools and resources to help reduce stress and anxiety.

You can download Headspace here. Once you have accessed the app you will then need to use your work email address to enrol. The process is very straightforward, but if you do experience difficulties then please contact the Headspace Member Support Team at: teamsupport@headspace.com

Sessions for stress

Within the app there is a dedicated stress and anxiety section with lots of useful content, however, you will need a Headspace account to access the information.

Some of the specific courses and single sessions include:

Time to try?

So whether you’re struggling with stress, lacking in energy or just want to sleep better, Headspace offers you a range of meditation tools that can help with any, and all, of those issues and a whole lot more.

Meditation is proven to have a positive impact on mental, physical and emotional health so it’s definitely worth giving it a try. Look out for further articles coming your way this week.

Take care,

The Wellbeing Team
