Hydrocortisone injection recall by MHRA: action required

A batch of hydrocortisone sodium phosphate injections, 100mg/1ml, has been recalled by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) after reports of discolouration. Manufacturer testing has shown that the discolouration is not a risk to patients. 

Colleagues are asked please to check stocks on station and drug bags for: 

Batch number: 039268

Expiry date: August 2017 

If you find any of the affected batch, please pass it to a duty locality officer and then restock your supply.
