Inclusive Career Development Programme - Herts & West Essex

person on computer

This programme is initially targeting Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) and Disability groups, who often feel they are not given the same opportunity/support to career progression at senior levels neither given the same access to development opportunities/funding.  The programme will then be extended to the remaining seven equality groups in the future.

One programme is a seven-month online intensive leadership and management development programme for anyone at Bands 5-7 (NHS Agenda for Change)

Another is a six-month intensive leadership and management development programme for anyone at Bands 2-4 (Agenda for Change)

Using a blend of research, NHS local and national data, external networks and shared resources, the programme was co designed in partnership with subject matter experts across Hertfordshire & West Essex Integrated Care System (ICS).  The aim is to implement a consistent framework of leadership development programmes exclusively for our underrepresented groups and is open to Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic background and Disabled people in clinical and non-clinical roles across Health & Social Care.

  • Cohort 1 of the 5-7 programme commences 16thFebruary
  • Cohort 4 of the 2-4 programme commences Spring – 30thMarch
