My extensive and varied Paediatric experience including an ongoing clinical role within a Paediatric Accident and Emergency department means that I remain up to date with clinical practice and the ongoing challenges facing staff.

I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to develop this post contributing to:

  • increasing accessibility to Paediatric resources by providing support as required to both EOC and operational staff
  • assisting in any Paediatric initiatives within the service
  • achieving the EEAST Hear and Treat targets and supporting the Trust’s vision and strategic plans

My post has many and varied roles and responsibilities including:

  • the ongoing review of the Safety profile of Paediatric calls & triages within ECAT
  • the clinical supervision of all ECAT clinicians
  • the development and delivery of enhanced specialist training within ECAT and operational settings
  • workstreams with both internal and external colleagues

I take great pride in my role, with the safety and timely care of our patients being paramount.”
