It’s Carers Week 2023

carers week 2023 logo

This week is Carers Week, an important annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.

The theme for Carers Week 2023 is 'Recognising and supporting carers in the community'.

We understand that being a carer can be challenging and we know that juggling both work and your carer responsibilities can be extremely difficult to do. Therefore, we want to be able to provide the support we can to our EEAST carers. Please do reach out to the Wellbeing Team for any extra support you may need in balancing your caring role with your job.

For all managers who may have someone in their team who takes on a carer’s role, please do make sure that they are coping well. Remember to check-in on them to see if they might benefit from any additional support from you.

We would like to remind everyone that Wellbeing support is available to those who need it. Looking after your health and wellbeing can be hard when taking care of someone else, but it is essential to take care of yourself too.
