Kate acknowledges Trust support as debut book is published

Emergency operations administrator Kate will have her first book published on 27th November and is donating the proceeds of the sales to the charity Forces Children’s Trust.

Always a Hero’ is the story of army wife, Kate McNicholls, and her life living with a soldier. The book will be available to purchase from Pegasus McKenzie Elliot Publishers when it is released and can also be ordered from Waterstones.  However it is available to order now from Amazon, who have it on pre-order, but there are only have a few copies left.

Kate has also been interviewed by the Hertfordshire Mercury and Radio 4 and has praised fellow Trust colleagues for giving her the support to write the book.

Kate said: “Many of my colleagues have given me lots of advice and encouragement to pursue this venture and I told the Hertfordshire Mercury how this organisation encourages and supports its staff to pursue and develop themselves both professionally and privately.

“I am hoping the money I raise from the book will in turn support a charity that is close to my heart and that is the Forces Childrens Trust.”

Chief Executive Anthony Marsh said: “Congratulations to Kate on this brilliant achievement and we look forward to seeing her publish many more books in the future.”

Kate’s next book, called Cry Silently Pray Loudly, is to be published in March.
