Learn more about pre-hospital care with Harefield Hospital

Inside ambulance ECG monitor defib

The ninth Harefield Primary Angioplasty Live will be focussing on pre-hospital care on the first day of the event, which will be particularly relevant for ambulance clinicians.

Harefield, near Heathrow, has a dedicated heart attack centre, providing primary angioplasty in their specialist catheter laboratories.

Their annual conference, from 6th – 8th October, is structured to follow the patient journey through from the onset of chest pain all the way to discharge rehabilitation, follow up and maintaining secondary prevention during the three-day event.

The first day, entitled ‘Getting it right in the field’ will feature a live catheter laboratory case with a consultant cardiologist, a talk on modern technology in primary angioplasty and a debate on whether patients should head straight to the lab after having a cardiac arrest out of hospital with return of spontaneous circulation.

The event will be held at Harefield Hospital, Hill End Road, Harefield, Middlesex, UB9 6JH.
