Let's talk about racism

This week, the Trust launched the new ‘Let’s Talk’ campaign and safe conversations to open the conversation about cultural awareness within the Trust.

The ‘Let’s Talk’ campaign aims to raise awareness about subject matters that may impact of the culture and working life within the Trust. In order to improve our awareness and understanding of the many different cultures around us, we must open the conversation and equip ourselves with the skills and tools to learn. In doing so, as a Trust we will be able to make the changes required to develop our Trust into a safe and inclusive place for everyone.

As well as the launch of our ‘Let’s Talk’ campaign, this month is Black History Month.

This month, we will be hosting our first safe conversation on ‘racism’ on 17 October at 15:00 - 16.30. If you have not yet signed up to take part, you can do so now on OLM.

The conversations are open to everyone in the Trust and we encourage you to sign up and join in the discussion, opening the conversation in a safe environment to allow you to learn and grow in both a personal and professional sense.

If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions about the ‘Let’s Talk’ campaign, please get in touch with us at internalcommunications@eastamb.nhs.uk
