Local Landlord donates to Loddon Community First Responders

Supported by EEAST charity

Landlord, Philip Taylor of the Kings Head in Loddon has donated £2,000 to the EEAST charity, for his local East of England Ambulance Service Community First Responder group to fund the purchasing of a new response kit bag.

Philip said: ‘Loddon Community First Responders (CFRs) do a great job in their community, giving up their free time to respond to medical emergencies in the local village and surrounding areas.

In the past few months, the Loddon CFRs have helped friends of mine in their time of need so as a thank you for all their hard work and professionalism, I have given them a donation to help purchase a new response kit bag and lifesaving equipment to enable them to continue serving our local community.’

Loddon CFR group is comprised of six local volunteers, and a second kit bag will enable the team to increase the coverage they provide to the local area.

Neil Gudge, from Loddon CFR group, received the donation from Phil and manageress, Tanya Taylor. Neil said: ‘I’d like to thank both Phil and Tanya for their generous donation and the ongoing support that they give to our group.’

Thanks to the generosity from donations, legacy gifts and grants the East of England Ambulance Service Charity is able to support our staff, volunteers and local communities in ways above and beyond what NHS funding can ordinarily provide. If you're interested in finding out more about the EEAST Charity, including getting involved in fundraising opportunities, find out more here.
