Make your voice count

Complete the staff survey and get your free Costa voucher

If you haven’t already completed the National Staff Survey then there’s still time to do so before it closes next Friday (25th November).

We each have a voice that counts, whatever your role or background and that voice matters. After all, this is your workplace, it should be somewhere you feel comfortable and confident to be yourself, surrounded by a supportive team and good leadership. If things aren’t working well, we need you to tell us so we can improve them. Alternatively, if you’re really pleased with how things are going we need to know that to, so we can take some of that learning to other parts of the organisation.

Anton Emmanuel, the WRES lead for the NHS People Directorate has recorded a short message explaining why it’s so important that you take this opportunity to share your lived experience of being a member of the NHS. You can also hear from three colleagues who explain why the NHS Staff Survey is important to them here

It won’t take long
We know there’s a lot to pack into a workday, and the survey is yet another thing to add to the list, but the good thing is it can be completed in small parts. If you don’t have ten minutes to spare in one go that’s fine, simply do what you can then click on the link again later and you can pick up where you left off.

It really is confidential
We really mean it when we say we can’t identify you from your responses. The survey is managed by an external organisation, Picker who email the survey to each individual and collate the responses. They then provide us with the results broken down at a local level, but we have no other involvement so you really can be honest without worrying that someone from EEAST will read your response.

There’s free coffee
And finally, in case you needed anymore persuasion, everyone who responds will be sent a free £5 voucher for Costa coffee as a thank you for your time. Again, this is coordinated by Picker not the Trust.

So please do take a few minutes to respond to the survey. The information you provide will shape our direction for the coming year and give us the opportunity to provide you with support in the areas you tell us you need it most. There couldn’t be a better reason to get involved.
