Management overtime contracts: Update

Following the ‘collective agreed framework’ in relation to annual leave payments, we will shortly be working out which substantive members of staff with management overtime contracts will be included.

As you may be aware, this national agreement on annual leave outlines some eligibility criteria which needs to be met, linked with the regularity of overtime being worked.

Calculations are to be carried out retrospectively, covering two periods; April 2019 to March 2021 (arising from the National Agreement - Holiday Pay), and the period April 2021 onwards (following the Interim Agreement for Overtime on Annual Leave). This amounts to a significant piece of work.

Our finance team will work through those staff who are on management overtime contracts to determine whether they meet the eligibility and regularity criteria.

Individuals who are identified as being eligible for payment will be written to on an individual basis prior to the September pay-run, with a view to payment being made in September.

Where people have a more complex case and more time is needed to work through to a resolution, these people will be notified of this in September, though payment may be delayed to October.

We are keen to resolve this issue for those eligible as soon as we possibly can, though equally we need to ensure that any payments are correct.

The finance team will not be able to comment on individual circumstances whilst the work is in progress, therefore we ask for your continued patience over the next few weeks until the work is completed when we can accept any queries that may arise.
