Mrunal Sisodia OBE named as new Trust Chair

Mrunal Sisodia

We are very pleased to announce that Mrunal Sisodia OBE has been appointed as our new Trust chair.

Mrunal has served as a non-executive director on our Board for three years and has a wealth of private, charity and public sector experience.

The news follows the announcement in December that Nicola Scrivings was to step down after leading the Trust for three years, and overseeing a period of improvement for the Trust as recognised by the CQC and NHS England.

Mrunal said:“It is an honour to be appointed as the new chair of EEAST and look forward to working alongside our staff, volunteers and partners in the healthcare system to shape the future of the organisation.
“The last few years have not been easy for anyone in the ambulance sector but I have witnessed enormous dedication and determination from my colleagues here.
"This is what will drive our continued improvement and build on the progress we have made under Nicola, my predecessor as chair.”

Tom Abell, Chief Executive of East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: “I am very pleased to be able to announce the appointment of Mrunal as the new chair.
"His extensive experience in the private and public sector will be invaluable as we continue our work to improve our ambulance service for our communities and people and I look forward to working with him in the coming years.
“I would like to again thank Nicola Scrivings for her incredible contribution to our improvement as an organisation over the past three years.
"Her dedication and commitment to making our organisation a better place to work for our people and her passion to improve care for the communities we serve across the east of England has been inspirational.”

Ms Scrivings said: “Mrunal has been a wonderful, passionate colleague as a non-executive director at EEAST and I have every confidence he will make an excellent chair.
“It has been a great privilege and experience to travel alongside such dedicated ambulance crews and volunteers across the region who work so hard to care for our patients.
“I wish Mrunal every success in the future.”
