New JRCALC update

New JRCALC updates are published today 12/5/23 and will be available within the app to review and acknowledge.

For reference below is a list of the changes that have been reviewed by the Trust’s clinical best practice group and should be implemented into clinical practice as appropriate.

• Advanced life support and page for age-OP airways sizes and cuffed ET tube sizes
• Headache
• Overdose and poisoning - specific substance management: Button batteries
• Trauma emergencies in adults
• Care of the newborn and birh imminent: Normal birth and birth complications
• <C> ABCDE
• Amiodarone
• Diazepam emulsion
• Fluid therapy in children
• Methoxyflurane (Penthrox)
• Morphine and Paracetomol use for pain relief
• Oxygen
• Tranexamic acid (TXA)
