The patient safety team is running sessions exploring the non-conveyance of patients today and tomorrow.
The sessions on Evolve will be short and focused on fact finding with staff at all grades to understand their feeling about discharging care and their understanding of what a safe discharge looks like.
There is a session tonight at 19:00 and tomorrow at 11:00 and at 19:00. You can book on to the course below through Evolve.

The risk of discharging patients increases when there is more pressure to manage patients via an alternative pathway other than the emergency department. It is essential that we continue to improve the safety of the care which we deliver to our patients when not conveying them to a hospital.
The patient safety team is continuing its work to improve the safe discharge of our patients and a thematic review of patient care episodes resulting in a non-conveyance is underway.
The focus groups will ask staff their opinion on how we can improve the safety of discharges, including the use of the care bundle.
Please join one of the sessions, on either the 24th or 25th May and help to contribute to the safe care and discharge of our patients.
