National Ambulance LGBT+ Network Questionnaire

The National Ambulance LGBT+ Network has launched a very short, but vitally important survey to see into the lives of LGBT+ staff working within the UK ambulance service. The results of which will form part of a presentation at the national conference in June. National Ambulance LGBT+ Annual Conference

The national annual conference is back and dates have now been confirmed as 15th and 16th June in Manchester. The network is currently working on who should attend as part of their role here at EEAST before we open up the limited number of tickets to our LGBT+ staff and allies. IDAHOBIT Conference

EEAST are currently working with Essex Fire and Rescue and Essex Police to plan a local conference on 10th May. This conference aims to share best practice, learn from each other through staff and service user stories and celebrate diversity. Please email the network for more information if you are interested in attending or you have a speaker suggestion/idea.

EEAST LGBT+ Survey results meeting

Thank you to all who completed the EEAST LGBT+ Survey. The EDI team would now like to invite you to a meeting on the 25th April 2023 at 13.30 – 14.00 to give you feedback on the report’s findings and our response to the recommendations. You will also receive a second invitation to a Joint Equality Networks meeting on 25th April 2023 at 14.40 – 15.10. Tom Abell, Hein Scheffer, Lauren Singleton and Caroline Nwadu will be present at the meeting.

2023 Pride events planning group

Pride gives us an exceptional opportunity to meet with our community, link with our partnership organisations and other providers and talk about recruitment, health promotion and service use. We are looking for network members to volunteer to share the workload associated to the Pride 2023 season. The organising of each event canot be under estimated, so please consider this before offering your valuable time. Duties will include being a link to the organisers, assisting with resourcing the event, creating operationl plans including the coordinating of who is doing what, where and when. Please email lgbt@eastamb.nhs.uk if interested.
