Notification of temporary EOC Closure

Tomorrow (Wednesday 19 October) Chelmsford EOC will be closing for an 8-hour period to allow for essential maintenance work as part of its current refurbishment. 

 

The refurbishment is being carried out to modernise the facilities to ensure that the EOC is fit-for-purpose. The refurbishment includes the update of welfare and operational facilities, upgrading of existing infrastructure and increasing working space for staff.

 

A planned power outage is scheduled to take place between 0800 and 1600 tomorrow as part of the work. During the outage there will be no power in Chelmsford EOC, so all essential functions are being transferred to the other EOCs in Bedford and Norwich. 

 

Appropriate plans and resilience have been arranged to ensure that this outage will have no effect on our day-to-day functions, and our blue light and other NHS colleagues have been notified that this will be taking place.
