Print Solution Upgrade

Computer update

The Digital Department are going to be upgrading our Trust Printing Solution starting week commencing 5th June 2023.

During the week, the work been undertaken will upgrade and make changes to the Printing Systems and you may notice that your printers are disconnected for a short period of time. The Digital Team are planning to complete this process as smoothly as possible, with as little distribution to ‘Live’ service as possible.

 As part of the changes that are going to be implemented, a new FollowMe solution that will work across the entire trust will be set up, meaning you can print to the new print queue and release at any Konica photocopier wherever you are in the East of England Ambulance Trust.

This new print queue will be called ‘EEAST – FollowMe’ and the Digital Dept will deploy this to your computer when the work is completed.

Coming off the back of the upgrade work, you will have to re-add your local printers, printers that can’t be accessed using your ID Card, to your devices using the Add Printer page on East24. This will be made easier by deleting any of your existing printers from your computer first.

Please find the guide below for support in removing the existing printers that are installed.

The process for adding back your local printers hasn’t changed. You will still need to go to East24 and follow the same process as before

** Please don’t delete or attempt to re-add your printers until after the work is completed and you have seen an update from the Digital Team.

Once the work is completed, the Digital Department will let everyone know but until you see an update email, please don’t report Printer issues to the Service Desk as any problems are most likely to be caused by the ongoing work.
