EEAST are pleased to be offering our registered substantive staff free access to complete the Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training (PROMPT) eLearning. This is an exciting initiative that allows access to PROMPT’s educational course in order to assist in maternity training and education within the trust.

About PROMPT:

PROMPT provides training for maternity units and a number of ambulance services helping midwives, obstetricians, anaesthetists, ambulance clinicians and other maternity team members be safer and more effective. Watch the below video to learn more about PROMPT.

About the Course:

The Pre-hospital PROMPT e-learning update package provides training for paramedics and registered ambulance clinicians who are required to provide emergency maternity care in the pre-hospital setting.

Through lectures and simulated video scenarios, the course will provide background theoretical knowledge on:

  • The assessment of the pregnant woman
  • Management of a normal birth
  • Management of pre-birth, birth and post-birth emergencies

 

Accessing the Course:

On completion of the Access Request Form, you will be sent a link from LandD@eastamb.nhs.uk to access the eLearning. Please note that you MUST use your Trust email address to access the eLearning.

  • Once you access the eLearning for the first time you have 2 months to complete the course.
  • To support you in your learning and in your role after the learning you will be provided with an algorithm booklet that goes alongside the course, this is yours to keep. Please note that these booklets are currently in the processed of being printed and will be delivered to areas in the coming weeks.
