Mrunal Sisodia OBE, the new Chair of the Board for EEAST, has recorded a video where he introduces himself, and answers commonly asked questions about his role and what he has been doing in recent weeks.

.

Mrunal has served as non-executive director for EEAST for three years and has a background of leading large complex organisations.
He is director and co-chair of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF), a national organisation that represents the families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Before joining the NNPCF, Mrunal was a director at Leonard Cheshire Disability and has extensive experience of the private, public and charity sectors.

The news follows the announcement in December that Nicola Scrivings was to step down after leading the Trust for three years, and overseen a period of improvement for the Trust as recognised by the CQC and NHS England.

Mrunal said:
“It is an honour to be appointed as the new chair of EEAST and I look forward to working alongside our staff, volunteers and partners in the healthcare system to shape the future of the organisation.

“The last few years have not been easy for anyone in the ambulance sector but I have witnessed enormous dedication and determination from my colleagues here. This is what will drive our continued improvement and build on the progress we have made under Nicola, my predecessor as chair.”
