Responding to the Pulse survey

NQPS Results

We now run a regular Pulse survey to measure our progress in improving the lives of all our people at EEAST. The Pulse survey is run three times a year in January, April and July. In October it is replaced by the annual staff survey. This gives us a clear picture of how you view working at EEAST and where we are making progress.

We will be publishing an infographic every quarter (also called the culture dashboard) to share the results as openly as possible.

The April Pulse survey will go live on Monday 3 April 2023. Before we launch that survey we wanted to update you on what has happened since the January survey.

I am pleased to report that there has been an increase in the number of people responding to the Pulse and that more of you are feeling positively about working for EEAST.  An increased number of you would recommend EEAST as a place to work (up 5%) and the number of you who feel that there are frequent opportunities for you to make improvements happen in your area of work has also increased by 5% since the staff survey in autumn 2022

There has also been an increase of nearly 13% in the number of people who believe that patient care is the Trust’s top priority with 60% of you believing this. However, we know that the current pressures on the health system are, understandably, impacting on your satisfaction with the standard of care that we are able to provide.

We recognise that there is much more to do to ensure that EEAST is an excellent place to work and receive care. However, these results demonstrate that we are heading in the right direction.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the January survey. We will be sharing the link to complete the April survey in Need to Know on Monday.
