Rise in COVID-19 cases within the Trust

COVID 19 New

To all staff, you may be aware that there is a rise in positive cases of COVID-19 in the community and the Trust currently.

Whilst there is no mandate requiring staff to wear face masks in non-clinical areas, this is a choice for each individual and there is a benefit, from an IPC perspective, in wearing masks should any member of staff wish to.

Masks are provided at all stations and sites for staff use. In circumstances were outbreaks occur or cases you may be required to wear masks, so please do if asked to by a manager.

It is also worth reminding staff of the need for regular and thorough hand hygiene to be carried out, and where possible to use of soap and water. Hand sanitiser can be used where there is no access to soap and water.

Staff should also continue to wipe down there areas of work with disinfectant wipes regularly, including at the start and finish of the working day and between users.
