Sad Passing of Denise Niro

We are sorry to make you aware of the sad passing of our beloved colleague Denise Niro, Patient Experience Coordinator. Following a brief illness, Denise passed away on Wednesday 1st June 2022 surrounded by her family.

We are aware that many of you will have known Denise in her role as complaints coordinator within the Trust. She was a well liked and respected member of the team, often greeting people with a warm smile and wonderful sense of humour, always approaching things with a sense of fun. Her antics at Christmas parties and other social events will be fondly remembered for many years to come.

Denise enjoyed working as part of a wider team, preferring to pick up the phone or going to station to talk things through with our teams. Because of this, she gained a wealth of friendships throughout the Trust, quickly becoming a recognisable face. 

Denise was passionate about the Trust, often supporting the wider team and the families that we serve. She will be greatly missed by all. 

The patient experience team will be putting together a book of condolences for the family. We are aware that many of you within the wider team may like to send a message or share a story about Denise at work.
