Tom Abell went back to school last week to mark 75 years of the NHS.

Tom spent Thursday afternoon talking to the pupils at St Martin’s School in Brentwood as part of the NHS75 birthday celebrations.

Tom was joined by Josh Elias, a specialist paramedic and Rob Hazell, a recruitment specialist at EEAST, to highlight the different roles available to pupils with an interest in working in healthcare.

To help mark its 75th anniversary, the NHS teamed up with the charity, Inspiring the Future to connect NHS staff with schools as a way of encouraging pupils to consider a career in the NHS.

The ‘NHS Ambassadors’ programme connects NHS staff with schools to give talks about the wide and stimulating range of careers across the health service – both clinical and non-clinical.

If you’d like to become an NHS Ambassador and join the thousands of colleagues across the NHS who are inspiring future generations to consider a career in healthcare then you can sign up now.
