Security threat level raised

Transparent EEAST crest

Following this week’s devastating attacks in Manchester, the Government's emergency committee, COBRA, has raised the UK Security Threat Level to ‘Critical’.

Threat levels are an indicator of the likelihood of a terrorist attack; the Trust has issued advice and guidance regarding the security of premises, vehicles, equipment, and uniform, as well as steps we can take to keep ourselves and others safe. You can download a copy of the update internally from East24 (it has also been emailed to all staff) - please take the time to read it.

An update has also been produced for our volunteers, which will be cascaded through the volunteer management teams. A separate briefing has also been produced for our emergency operations centre colleagues, which will again be shared with you directly.

We will keep you informed of any further changes to the threat level, or subsequent actions.

Thank you for your continued support.
