Senior EMT Agreement Update - February 2023

The review of the current local pay arrangements for SEMT is ongoing between the Trust and our Unison colleagues. As such we have agreed to extend the current arrangements until 31 March 2023.

Therefore, if you are eligible for SEMT during this period, the HR Support Services team will raise HR2s and send out accordingly in the coming weeks. You do not need to do anything at this point.

Below is the existing banding agreement criteria that is applied:

  • Employed by the Trust as a qualified EMT
  • Have 12 months post qualification experience (this is the point at which you became a qualified EMT and 12 months following) in emergency operations or HART
  • Agree, in signing the HR2, to complete key e-learning and have a CPD portfolio

 

Senior EMT in Relation to Apprentice Learner Delays

The Trust has heard the concerns of many of our AEMT colleagues in regard to SEMT and the delays in their learner journey during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This process is also under review and we will provide an update in due course.
