Senior EMT Agreement Update

In May we provided an update on the local pay arrangement for SEMT has been under review based on its historic nature and need to align to agenda for change including production of a job description that is accurate and evaluated.

We had hoped that the new arrangements would be in place which required a revised job description and evaluation, and a revised national job profile. Unfortunately, there is a delay on the revised job profile, beyond ours and UNISONs control. As such we have agreed to extend the current arrangements until 31 January 2023.

Therefore, if you are eligible for SEMT this will be progressed via the HR Support Services team who will raise HR2s and send out accordingly. If you are awaiting a backdated HR2 for the period between 1 September and now, your HR2 will be sent to you by 30 November. You do not need to do anything at this point.

Below is the existing banding agreement criteria that is applied:

  • Employed by the Trust as an EMT
  • Have 12 months post qualification experience (this is the point at which you became an EMT and 12 months following) in emergency operations or HART
  • Agree, in signing the HR2, to complete key e-learning and have a CPD portfolio
