A standard loading list (SLL) for the VW transporter Leading Operations Managers (LOM) vehicles has been introduced across the Trust.
After being approved at the product alignment group (PAG), this standard loading list for LOM vehicles is being rolled out this week with the support of the Make Ready team.
The introduction follows feedback from staff using these vehicles, debriefs and recommendations from both internal and external reviews, such as the Kerslake review following the Manchester Arena bombing.
The SLL for these vehicles will include the introduction of Portable Organised Medical System (POMS) bags on the LOM incident vehicle which will be accessible to staff when managing mass casualty incidents and the introduction of a LOM secondary bag which will contain intubation kit, ventilator and cardiac arrest documentation. Vehicles will initially be stocked with 1 x POM bag while the additional kit is being sourced through NHS supplies.
It is essential that all LOM vehicles remain set up in this way to ensure standardisation across the Trust and there should not be any local variations to the agreed SLL.
The SLL for all Fiat ambulances has also been agreed and signed off and will be rolling out across the Trust over the coming months. Dates for further roll out will be published via NTK as soon as they are confirmed.
