Support mental health awareness week

Ambulance side shot

This week (16-22nd May) is Mental Health awareness week.

Organised by the Mental Health Foundation, the theme surrounding the campaign this year is relationships.

The Trust has a range of confidential services, which can provide you with extra support, whenever you need it.

Employee assistance programme:

The employee assistance programme (EAP) means you can access information and advice on a wide range of problems whether they are work, family or personal.

The programme, from confidential care (CiC) - an independent, expert provider of employee support services, is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week and is accessible online. It’s entirely confidential - the only information you have to provide is that you are an employee of EEAST.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • work-life balance
  • relationships
  • childcare
  • health and well-being
  • debt
  • disability and illness
  • careers
  • bereavement and loss
  • stress
  • elder care
  • life events
  • immigration
  • anxiety and depression
  • family issues
  • bullying and harassment
  • education
  • consumer rights
  • workplace pressure

You can access the EAP website at www.well-online.co.uk, and log in using:

Username: EEASTlogin
Password: wellbeing

Or you can call the 24/7 phone line on 0800 085 1376. For more information, visit our EAP pages on East24.

Trauma risk management – TRIM:

Trauma risk management (TRiM) is a process to manage traumatic stress within the workplace. Any colleague who has had to deal with an event that caused an unusual reaction should trigger the TRiM process.

It’s peer delivered, proactive and evidence based. By swiftly and accurately identifying those who develop problems related to stress after a traumatic incident, TRiM seeks to support individuals, signpost them to appropriate resources and assist them in returning to work, consequently creating a more resilient organisation

If you would like to know more about Trim, please visit East24.
