Thank You TeamEEAST 2022 NTK Banner Teamwork

After 25 years at EEAST, Lewis Andrews our Head of Quality Improvement and Professional Standards, leaves us tomorrow to become Chief Operating Officer with the Royal College of Paramedics.

Thank you, Lewis, for the past, present and the future. On behalf of so many, thank you for what you have done for patients, staff, families and now soon to be the Paramedic profession as you embark on your new role as Chief Operating Officer for the College of Paramedics from July.

Whilst I didn’t get to know you until more recently in your career, during that time you have always supported me, and I will remain profoundly grateful. Having reached 25 years in the service is a milestone to be recognised and congratulated and it must seem such a long time ago when you started in the ambulance service on Patient Transport Service.

What I will remember and have learned from you is how you remained passionate, genuine and authentic in your ambition to deliver the best clinical care as a senior clinical within our Trust and the profession.

I am sad to see you leave us at the East of England Ambulance Service as the Head of Quality Improvement and Professional Standards, but so proud of and for you to become the COO at the COP.

Take care Lew.
