This month's payslips

Please be aware that if you are at the top of your pay band, you will receive an additional payment of one per cent of your salary from April this year. This was awarded by the Government to reflect the increase in the cost of living, for those people who will not receive any incremental pay progression this year. Please note that this increase will be calculated on the basis of your current basic pay but is not pensionable and won’t be taken into account for unsocial hours payments. This element will be shown on your payslip as a 'non-consult NP' and you will receive two payments this month, an arrears for April and May’s payment.

If you are still working your way up your pay band, you will move onto your next increment at the appropriate time – in line with local performance arrangements – but you will not receive a cost of living increase as well.
