TRAC Pre-employment checks deleted

When our recruitment platform TRAC was implemented at EEAST, the Trust was not aware that TRAC automatically deletes recruitment files after a certain period of time. This includes pre-employment check files already completed and recruited to.

If files are not exported to another online server, they are permanently deleted. This issue was identified, and a resolution put in place, however it identified that a number of files had been deleted prior to saving. Please be assured that this data is not 'lost' or accessible in any format, it has been deleted in its entirety. This is an issue that has impacted on other NHS organisations not only us.

This incident has been reported to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The ICO os the UK's independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals. 

If you have been affected by this incident, we will ne communicating with you directly, clearly outlining the action that has been taken and what action needs to be taken to resolve the issue.
