TrainEEAST signs up Felixstowe Chamber of Commerce

TrainEEAST

TrainEEAST (the Commercial Training Department of EEAST) has secured a new partnership to deliver life saving first aid training to the members of the Felixstowe Chamber of Commerce.

Initially this will be ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’ training for businesses in the Felixstowe area, but this is likely to expand to further TrainEEAST training and engagement around Felixstowe.

This is part of TrainEEAST’s new sales drive to increase training revenues coming back in to the Trust. TrainEEAST already trains over 5,000 people every year in business, NHS units, police, airport (and even fish and chip shops!) all around the patch, meaning that there are first aid trained people all over the EEAST area, ready to support patients until frontline colleagues or CFRs arrive on scene.  In fact Andy Proctor, Chamber Committee Member, who has been a big part of the set up of this activity is also a CFR volunteer.

Jess Butwright who manages TrainEEAST said “It’s great to be working with the Felixstowe Chamber. Each course could have up to 12 businesses represented and they’ll all learn how to look after our patients in an emergency situation”
