Uniform disposal

Can staff please be reminded of the importance of appropriate uniform disposal to prevent fraud.

The uniform remains the property of the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust at all times. Employees of the Trust will not donate, loan or offer for sale under any circumstances any items to any such person or organisation, as per Section 6.3 of the uniform policy: 

  • Soiled uniform must be returned to your local station for safe disposal.
  • Spare uniform must be returned to your local station and stored safely.
  • Under no circumstances must any Trust uniform be passed to anyone not working for the Trust
  • Under no circumstances must any Trust uniform be sold or posted on any online platforms or selling sites
  • If any of your uniform is lost or stolen, please report via DATIX
  • If you see any Trust / NHS uniform for sale, please could you report this via datix and include as much information about the seller / a link to the advert’
