At the beginning of summer, we announced that we will be launching a new intranet, which combines the current East24 and NeedtoKnow platforms, with a brand new SharePoint based intranet. The new platform will make accessing information and connecting with colleagues easier and more intuitive than before. The new East 24 site will be launching in under three weeks’ time on 16 October.
To ensure a smooth transition, over the next few weeks, we will be providing you with information on what you can expect on the new intranet, where to find things and details of the switch over.
How the site is structured, the navigation, will be the biggest difference that you will notice. The navigation has been designed to simplify your access to the essential resources and tools you need. The site has been structured around the user need, rather than how the Trust is departmentally structured. The navigation is as below:
Directorates
You can still find information about what each directorate and department is responsible for by accessing these pages. These pages will also show you the people who work within the teams.
Workplace
Is where you’ll find everything you need to do your job around the workplace. For example, procurement, IT support, ordering supplies and much more.
Community
The Community section is where you will be able to find information on the EEAST community from EDI networks, GREATix, Freedom to Speak up and volunteering.
People Services
Find everything around recruitment, pay, HR support and annual leave and sickness information.
Staff Development
All your development information is within this section. Information on appraisals and training and development courses.
Document Library
A new comprehensive document library which allows you to search for the type of document (e.g. policy, SOP) and by organisation area (e.g. ops, EOC).
About Us
Information about who we are, the board and executive team, strategies, values, where we are based and style guides.
