Update on Sizewell’s new nuclear power station

Last month, EDF Energy began the second stage of a public consultation into a new nuclear power station at Sizewell in Suffolk.

The Trust along with Suffolk Constabulary, Suffolk Fire & Rescue, Local Authorities and the wider NHS are all involved in the planning process. Together we’ll be working with EDF Energy to mitigate any impacts of the proposed new build.

As part of the phase, EDF will be inviting members of the community to comment on government plans to build the new station adjacent to the current one.

If any members of staff who live or work in the county wish to comment their personal views on the build, you can do so through various EDF open days throughout January.

Please be reassured that the Trust is fully aware of the consultation phase and will respond accordingly.
